About The Position
The Industrial Maintenance Assistant supports plant maintenance personnel with daily tasks at a busy industrial plant in Clarksville. The role involves hands-on mechanical work, including draining oil from gearboxes, removing flanges to drain liquids, and providing general mechanical support throughout the facility. The work is fast-paced and physically active, with extensive walking and standing. This is a short-term, two-week contract with full-time hours and a $22–$28 hourly pay range, depending on experience, plus $175 per day in per diem. Requirements
- At least 3 years of industrial or mechanical maintenance experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand tools (“turn a wrench”).
- Dependable work ethic and ability to stay engaged during long shifts.
- Willingness to work 10–12 hours per day, including Saturday.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely around plant equipment.
- Ability to handle extensive walking, standing, and physical activity.
