About The Position

Founded in 1973, Weldall Manufacturing, Inc. is a family-owned manufacturer specializing in large, complex fabricated products and equipment for customers across multiple industries. This is not a repetitive production assembly position. This skilled mechanical role builds and rebuilds large, custom industrial equipment and fabricated assemblies. The work requires strong mechanical aptitude, blueprint reading, precision fitting and alignment, problem-solving, and hands-on experience with industrial machinery and components. This position may be an excellent fit for an experienced Machine Builder, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, Millwright, Machine Rebuild Technician, Mechanical Fitter, or Heavy Equipment Assembler.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required
  • 3+ years of relevant mechanical experience in machine building, industrial maintenance, machinery repair or rebuilding, mechanical fitting, heavy assembly, or custom fabrication
  • Intermediate blueprint reading skills required
  • Experience working with mechanical fits, tolerances, and precision alignment
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial Maintenance Experience
  • Experience repairing, rebuilding, installing, fitting, or aligning industrial machinery and mechanical components
  • Backgrounds in industrial maintenance, machine repair, millwright work, equipment rebuilding, and similar mechanical trades

Responsibilities

  • Build, rebuild, fit, and assemble large custom industrial equipment, weldments, and fabricated components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, and specifications
  • Determine proper fit, alignment, positioning, and assembly sequence of mechanical components
  • Perform precision mechanical fitting and alignment, including press fits, slip fits, and tight tolerances
  • Use precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, tape measures, squares, and levels
  • Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and other mechanical assembly tools safely and effectively
  • Verify parts and components to ensure proper fit, accuracy, and completeness
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical fit-up, alignment, and assembly issues
  • Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment to position large components
  • Perform torch heating, minor welding, or fitting work when needed to achieve proper alignment and fit
  • Plan and organize work to meet production schedules while maintaining quality standards
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition
  • Perform all work in a safe and responsible manner
