About The Position

HDR is hiring an Industrial Intern for Summer 2027 in its Resources Business Group, focusing on Industrial. The internship offers real-world experience on projects and opportunities to connect with recent graduates and company leaders through mentoring and young professionals’ programs. The intern applies standard engineering techniques and procedures and performs assignments under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer or Project Manager. The role supports HDR’s industrial work across the project life cycle, including evaluation and planning studies, design, construction monitoring, and operations.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Nice To Haves

• Preference given to local or regional candidates pursuing a Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree during Summer 2027.
• Preferably have completed two years toward the degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to the field of study or industry.
