Industrial Inside Sales
About The Position
The primary function of Inside Sales is to provide product knowledge on building materials including drywall, insulation, metal studs for drywall, ceiling systems, stucco, construction tools, construction safety items, drywall compound, and accessories for the drywall industry. The role involves taking orders at the sales counter and over the phone, building relationships with customers, and utilizing the company computer system to enter orders. The position requires completing sales orders, tendering cash sales, and developing product knowledge to assist customers. Collaboration with Outside Sales Representatives and Sales Managers is expected to determine strategic sales approaches. Responsibilities include overcoming objections, emphasizing product/service features and benefits, quoting prices, discussing credit terms, and preparing sales order forms and/or reports.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to self-manage, show initiative and be comfortable meeting the public.
- Must be a team player, demonstrate attention to detail and have good organizational skills.
