Industrial HVAC Service Technician
About The Position
D&L LLC is an industrial HVAC, mechanical, and sheet metal contractor serving manufacturing, commercial, and mission-critical facilities across the Southeast. Our work spans maintenance, service, construction, shutdown support, and engineered solutions, helping customers keep essential systems operating safely and efficiently. As an HVAC Service Technician, you will support our customers by troubleshooting, servicing, repairing, and maintaining commercial and industrial HVAC equipment and systems. This is a hands-on field position for someone who enjoys diagnosing problems, working independently, and taking pride in quality workmanship. The right candidate brings strong mechanical skills, a dependable work ethic, and a responsive, customer-focused approach to every service call.
Requirements
- 3+ years of HVAC service experience in commercial or industrial environments.
- Strong troubleshooting experience across mechanical, electrical, and control systems in HVAC equipment.
- Hands-on experience servicing RTUs, mini splits, and package units.
- Experience following HVAC service safety standards.
- Ability to work responsively with plant maintenance teams on service calls.
- EPA Universal License
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC equipment and systems
- Perform preventive maintenance and service on HVAC equipment and related mechanical systems
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration-related issues
- Identify equipment problems and recommend appropriate repairs or solutions
- Complete service work safely, efficiently, and according to D&L quality standards
- Respond to customer service calls and address equipment issues in a timely manner
- Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and team members
- Document service work, equipment conditions, parts used, and repairs performed
- Follow company safety procedures and customer-specific jobsite requirements
