About The Position

The Industrial Generator Field Service Technician 1 is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of gas/diesel engines to ensure their safe, efficient, and reliable operation. This role involves performing scheduled and unscheduled service activities on-site or at customer locations, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet background, drug, and medical requirements.
  • Soft Skills: Accuracy, organization, customer service, and used to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Support service coordination for customer calls or customer requests, prepare service orders, warranty or goodwill claims and process spare parts administrative and commercial administrative.
  • Managing and ownership for Genuine Parts and tools orders after handover of Sales to service coordination and ensure efficient correspondence with customers and Olympian internal.
  • Prepare service orders for invoicing by Service admin team, by collecting all needed data, invoices, labor sheets and manage spare parts returns.
  • Maintain Service Shop documentation changes, collect new technical information from Service Library and share within service coordination.
  • Control of invoicing and closing orders accordingly offers prices and customer conditions.
  • Service Warehouse Manager with stock inventory process or audits.
  • Perform standard preventative maintenance task according to manufacturer specifications and perform on-site service activities on Olympian Products.
  • Analyze and resolve faults on Olympian Equipment on customer sites, by using diagnostic software and corresponding special tools and measuring instruments.
  • Prepare detailed service reports, inspection protocols, picture documentation for internal and external reporting purposes. Prepare documentation folder and forward to designated Service Area Manager for activities for further use in time.
  • Use internal and external training opportunities and stay up do date to technical innovations and circulars.
  • Provide technical advice and trainings to end-costumer and Channel partners. Ensure customer satisfaction through professional conduct and solution-oriented work.
  • Provide technical support for Olympian employees by conducting remote support on Olympian equipment and assist Olympian employees in technical issues.
  • Planning and execution of work preparation and post-work follow-up. Maintenance of company vehicles, tools, and spare parts.
  • Conduct routine system testing, load-bank testing (under supervision), and operational checks.
  • Assist senior technicians with diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, including fuel, cooling, and starting systems.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults.
  • Perform basic generator commissioning, start ups, and integration with ATS.
  • Respond to basic service calls and support emergency after-hours work as needed.
  • Learn to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
