About The Position

ASGCO has an opening for a Powder Coater/Sand Blaster/Industrial Finisher responsible for completing finishing tasks for the Metal Fabrication Department. The candidate must maintain high-quality work, a high level of attention to detail, and ensure personal productivity and safe operation of machinery. The right candidate must be able to take ownership of the area, keeping it organized, neat, and clean. ASGCO offers a competitive wage, overtime, and an excellent benefits package.

Requirements

Industrial steel coating experience required
Sand blasting experience
Valid driver's license
Basic math skills, convert decimals to fractional equivalents
Prioritize workloads
Ability to read and interpret documents furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule forms such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, quality manuals and procedure manuals
Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations
Thorough knowledge of various types of metals, their physical properties and how to work with them
Candidates must pass a background check, drug screen and other job requirements
Can lift up to 50lbs, bending, kneeling, reaching and standing for long periods of time, significant fine finger dexterity
High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

Paint with primer and 2 part epoxies
Sand blasting
Preparation work
Powder coating
Reviews and interprets written work instructions
Must be able to accurately read measuring devices
Effectively prioritize workloads and use of available resources within time constraints
Assists with keeping the shop in an orderly and clean state, following all company safety procedures
Must be able to move steel materials utilizing physical strength forklifts, slings and straps
Responsible for quality control of all jobs and orders
Operate a company vehicle
Other responsibilities as seen fit by management
