Industrial Finish Operator
About The Position
Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, with over 50 years’ experience, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction. This is a full-time, seasonal position with a schedule of 10+ hours per day, working a 6 and 1 rotation. Overtime is paid after 8 hours per day or 44 hours per week. The role requires a hard-working, reliable individual who is flexible with their schedule and able to work in physically demanding conditions. Successful candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and complete company and site-specific orientations.
Requirements
- Personal Reliable Vehicle
- CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience as a finish excavator operator
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience as a finish dozer operator
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience as a utility operator
Responsibilities
- Safe operation of excavator as it pertains to stripping, ditching, sloping, and leveling
- Experience with finishing work required
- Experience with skid steer, loader, excavator
