Candidates must reside within a normal commuting distance of a major metropolitan area and major airport Los Angeles, California Houston, TX Detroit, MI Cleveland, OH / Western Pennsylvania New Jersey Florida Approximately 75% nationwide travel required Overnight and multi-day travel should be expected Some assignments may allow day trips with return home at night, depending on customer location and service needs Classification: Salaried, Non-Exempt Overtime eligible for all physical hours worked over 40 in a workweek Technicians are required to clock in and clock out to record physical hours worked for overtime calculation purposes only Paid bi-weekly Summary: The Field Service Technician is responsible for delivering demand and scheduled field service, warranty service, and system start-up to existing and new Oilgear customers worldwide. The role involves analyzing component and system malfunctions, supporting customer efforts to repair, or implementing repairs personally to get equipment functioning. Service activities will primarily focus on Oilgear legacy and new products, as well as some non-Oilgear equipment. This position involves regular engagement with Oilgear hydraulic and electrical engineering teams to provide customer support and offer feedback that contributes to quality and design improvements. Additionally, the technician will promote the sale of Oilgear upgrades to both existing and competitive installations within our customer base.
