About The Position

If you're an analytical problem solver with an eye for detail, then you could be the full-time Industrial Estimator we need at Rapat Corporation! We're hiring an experienced estimating professional who can collaborate with internal teams to create detailed bids for prospective projects. When you join us in Hawley, MN, you'll earn $25.00 - $39.00/hour (depending on experience) and enjoy excellent benefits. Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a subject like project management, construction management, or drafting & design
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of mechanical components, structural steel, manufacturing processes, and industrial construction techniques
  • Ability to accurately follow schematics, blueprints, and verbal instructions
  • Professional communication skills and interpersonal abilities
  • Multi-tasking, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Proficiency with an ERP like Epicor Kinetic
  • Proficiency with video communication tools like Zoom
  • Proficiency with design software like CAD, AutoCAD, or SOLIDWORKS
  • Proficiency with Overland conveyor software

Nice To Haves

  • Millwright experience
  • Technical writing experience
  • Proficiency with material-handling equipment
  • Experience in mechanical conveying, industrial construction, or project management
  • Familiarity with low- to medium-voltage electric control systems and motors

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed bids for prospective projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams.
  • Maintain engineering and sales documentation.
  • Track bid opportunities in our ERP.
  • Review technical specifications and drawings for potential projects.
  • Create a competitive bid package that includes material takeoffs, cost estimates, and preliminary layouts.
  • Estimate labor and timelines.
  • Professionally present proposals.
  • Prepare sales contracts.
  • Review plans to ensure they comply with all safety policies and industry regulations.
  • Support internal teams in researching and developing new products or offerings.
