About The Position

The Industrial Engineering intern supports production and manufacturing processes in a team-based environment. The individual drives process improvements across multiple manufacturing and transactional processes by designing, improving, and implementing integrated systems of people, materials, and equipment. The individual draws upon the specialized knowledge and skill in the mathematical, physical, and social sciences, together with the principles and methods of engineering analysis and design to specify, predict, and evaluate the results to be obtained from such systems.

Requirements

Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
Experience with Lean Six Sigma
Experience with AutoCAD or other CAD Program Experience

Nice To Haves

Experience with Visio
Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

Directly work with our manufacturing production floor employees including operators, inspectors, quality, and test technicians to solve day to day issue as well as proactively working longer term projects to eliminate reoccurring issues.
Involved in the analysis of best layout, flow, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification of electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems.
Assist in planning the allocation of resources, materials, and personnel to establish maximum utilization of equipment.
Help in conducting studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
