This role includes working with the Industrial Engineering team at UPS Healthcare, supporting our healthcare warehouses with continuous improvement projects. They participate in projects focused on reducing costs through improved processes and procedures. This position may also perform data queries and develop reports to streamline communications and performance reporting.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering or related program, seeking a Bachelor’s Degree or International equivalent
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work full time and in-person (40 hours/week) from our Louisville, KY site.
- Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.

- Sufficient and effective knowledge in programming and algorithms is desired, but not required
Responsibilities
- Identifies the impact of a problem on multiple areas of the business; recommends improvements to existing processes or programs.
- Identifies and implements process improvements collaborating with analysts, users, and project sponsors.
- Utilize work measurement, design data development, statistical analysis, and discussion with management and/or operations to identify issues and solutions that impact both short-term and long-term strategies.
