The Industrial Engineer will analyze operations and workflow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts. This role establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel and optimization of product flow. The engineer will also conduct studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems, developing and implementing optimized product flow. They may assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities and develop and provide time standards and standard work for operations and processes. Additionally, the role involves trend analysis of shop performance measures (KPI) to identify risks and opportunities for improvements, capacity analysis, tool and equipment utilization, and line balancing.
