About The Position

The Industrial Engineer will serve as the Global Operations Benchmarking leader, responsible for the effective implementation of projects and contributing to the Global Operations Efficiency Team. This role involves facilitating improvements, tracking Global KPIs, and executing best practices through Statistical Process Control, Lean, and Six Sigma methods. The engineer will identify opportunities and implement changes to enhance products or reduce costs by leveraging knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling, production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, product design, materials, and parts. They will also determine the root causes of failures using statistical methods and provide technical expertise and support for manufacturing operations, incorporating new methods and processes to improve existing operations, and collaborating with various technical and administrative staff.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Engineering or two (2) years work-related experience.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, six sigma and/or industrial engineer concepts manufacturing/operations
  • Ability to use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
  • Ability to analyze information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Ability to observe, receive, and obtain information from all relevant sources.
  • Ability to identify the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
  • Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.

Responsibilities

  • Consolidate, document, and manage the Global Key Performance Indicators
  • Promote the effective use of information following Benchmarking guidelines
  • Implement and monitor the correct execution of Benchmarking projects
  • Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials, and parts.
  • Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
  • Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.
  • Incorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operations.
  • Collaborate with technicians, technologists, analysts, administrative staff, or other engineers.
  • Develop technical methods or processes.
  • Implement design or process improvements.
  • Determine causes of operational problems or failures.
  • Provide technical guidance to other personnel.
  • Recommend technical design or process changes to improve efficiency, quality, or performance.
