About The Position

The Industrial Engineer will support data management in the Region Americas, end users, and data coordinators. This role involves monitoring KPIs, coordinating material master quality improvement, and supporting material master creation and mass data changes in materials, routings, BOMs, etc. The engineer will also support new plants, new projects, and relocation projects. Key responsibilities include performing product cost calculations, supporting IPA creation, performing capacity analysis, and supporting the definition of the best production location and product industrialization. The role also involves evaluating the regional product footprint, coordinating cross-functional projects, evaluating and forecasting needed headcount, identifying OEE gaps, and providing key support during the budget process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Systems or engineering related field.
  • 1+ years of production engineering or related experience.
  • External applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employment visa or other sponsorship.
  • Solid understanding in industrial manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication ability (written & verbal).
  • Ability to prioritize and make decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Support data management in the Region Americas, end users and data coordinators.
  • Monitor KPIs and Coordinate material master quality improvement.
  • Support material master creation and mass data changes in materials, routings, BOMs, etc.
  • Support new plants, new projects, relocation projects, etc.
  • Perform product cost calculations, working with different areas as purchasing and technology development.
  • Support IPA (Investment Profitability Analysis) creation to evaluate economical profitability of the business case.
  • Perform capacity analysis to identify potential delivery issues or investment needed for new businesses and so work with the plants to define better strategy.
  • Support definition of the best production location and support product industrialization.
  • Evaluate regional product footprint and propose ideas to improve cost and thus profit margins by synergizing local and global business.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects across the entire value stream related to process improvements, change management and product launches.
  • Evaluate and forecast needed headcount based on production order forecast and machine load.
  • Identify OEE gaps and support manufacturing units to improve key machines.
  • Key support during budget process.
