About The Position

The Boeing Global Services (BGS) Government Services Engineering (GSE) organization is seeking a Mid-Level or Senior Level Industrial Engineer to support the Tankers Programs (KC-46 and KC-135) in Jacksonville, FL. This position is in a maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) manufacturing environment. In this role, the selected candidate will support maintenance, modification, and retrofit aircraft operations while working with a cross-functional team to analyze productivity, recommend resource allocations (both personnel and spatial), and implement lean solutions to optimize the production system.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
3+ years of experience in the application of production engineering principles to analyze, implement, and improve manufacturing processes and methods
3+ years of experience in Lean Manufacturing
3+ years of experience with Statistical Process Modeling including statistically driven modeling techniques (e.g., mathematical modeling, simulation, design of experiments, operations research) to analyze a system
3+ years of experience interpreting technical engineering requirements
1+ years of experience leading development projects or operations teams
Ability to work independently (or under general direction) to determine and develop approaches to solutions that is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives
Must be able to ascend and descend aircraft entry stairs
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
5+ years of experience in Lean Manufacturing
5+ years of experience with Statistical Process Modeling
2+ years of experience working in Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) environment
2+ years of experience partnering with all key functions in an integrator/lead role
1+ years of experience with Tableau, Tableau Server, or SQL
1+ years of experience with Aurora or constraint-based scheduling software

Guides the successful completion of aspects of major programs and may function in a project leadership role
Assists in identification, evaluation and documenting computing system requirements
Designs, builds and tests delivery systems and components
Evaluates product usability, affordability, functionality, security and performance to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments
