About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Mid-Level Industrial Engineer to support Fabrication South Carolina Aerostructures (FSCA) in Orangeburg, SC. This role applies advanced industrial engineering concepts, approaches, and techniques to product, process, and services to meet program requirements. The engineer will review the development of complex plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations, and work flows. They will identify new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations, and design, maintain, and optimize the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel. Responsibilities also include reviewing work flow design and analysis, leading the development of models, databases, and spreadsheets to analyze data and provide summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders and customers. The role involves leading research, design, development, improvement, and implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality for large-scale systems integration and asset utilization. Additionally, the engineer will review plans and programs for facility/factory modifications and revisions to operating methods, evaluate product assembly instructions, and standardize assembly practices. They will lead operations planning, including work statement analysis, budgeting and forecasts, capacity and constraint analysis, and production change, to ensure technical goals and objectives are met. This includes leading execution planning by using project management, planning and scheduling, and shop load practices, as well as monitoring production, supply chain logistics, performance visibility, and recovery planning support. Ensuring compliance with established industry safety, design standards, and ergonomic guidelines is also a key part of the role.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
3 or more years of experience working in an engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, Fabrication and/or production environment.
3 or more years of experience defining, developing, implementing, or improving production processes.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering.
3 or more years of experience working in a team environment.
5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
3 or more years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing with knowledge of lean principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.
Boeing DCAC MRM Software Experience with capacity planning and analysis

Responsibilities
