Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or Operations.
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Data mining & manipulation experience with Excel, VBA, SQL, other methods.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of capital acquisition process – knowledge or background preferred

Responsibilities

  • Subject matter expert on manufacturing processes including: equipment, floor layouts, work sequence, work instructions, procedures, and work flow
  • Develop and improve standard work
  • Identify process improvements opportunities using analysis, modeling, benchmarking, research, etc.
  • Design layouts of equipment and workspace and improving process flow
  • Conduct studies on cost control, productivity, cost reduction, inventory, and production record systems
  • Provide measurable input into the sequence of operations and work instructions
  • Contribute to plans for allocation of resources, materials, and personnel to establish maximum utilization
  • Study product requirements and determine capital equipment and labor staffing to meet requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively with other engineers, technicians, operators, and management
  • Conduct machine capacity analysis and identify/manage improvement initiatives to increase efficiency (OEE).
  • Understanding of capital acquisition process – knowledge or background preferred
  • Working knowledge of product manufacturing / process technologies
  • Participating in and leading Kaizen events
  • Self-starter and able to work with minimal direction
