About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS), a services business supporting global defense, space, commercial, business, and general aviation customers, is hiring an Industrial Engineer at the Associate or Experienced level in the Jacksonville, Florida area. The role supports domestic and international warehouse operations, including time studies, storage management, process improvements, capacity and storage planning, and safety and ergonomic initiatives.

The Industrial Engineer applies industrial engineering principles to analyze and implement processes and methods, identifies opportunities and solutions, measures their impact, and recommends ways to optimize processes. The role involves collaboration across functions and programs, collecting and analyzing data, applying modeling techniques, planning project schedules and resources, and assessing the suitability of products and systems for delivery environments. Some travel may be required.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a directly related non-U.S. equivalent qualification.
• At least 1 year of experience in Industrial Engineering or a similar role, such as Production Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering, in an assembly or fabrication environment.
• Experience working in a team environment and communicating clearly with internal and external customers.
• Ability to adapt to new work structures, processes, requirements, and cultures.
• Ability to use information-gathering techniques, analyze situations, and identify implications to make decisions.
• Ability to work with hardware and software components that enable a process.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; an interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance is required after starting.
• Must meet U.S. export control requirements as a U.S. Person.
• Some travel may be required.

Nice To Haves

• Three or more years of higher education and/or related work experience; higher education includes college, university, technical school, and licensing or certification programs.
• Working knowledge of statistical analysis tools or software, such as Minitab.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge and experience with SAP ERP software, including Titan and/or S/4HANA.

Responsibilities

• Apply industrial engineering principles to analyze and implement manufacturing processes and methods.
• Identify improvement opportunities, implement solutions, and measure their impact.
• Conduct trend analysis and recommend ways to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data to support decisions.
• Apply modeling techniques, such as mathematical modeling, simulation, design of experiments, and operations research, to analyze systems.
• Create project schedules, identify milestones and resource requirements, and manage resources throughout the project life cycle.
• Evaluate product usability, affordability, functionality, security, and performance to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments.
• Support warehouse operations through time studies, storage management, process improvements, capacity and storage planning, and safety and ergonomic initiatives.
• Partner with functions such as Quality, Supplier Chain, Production Control, Engineering, BR&T, and IT, and work across programs or organizations as needed.
