About The Position

Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join their team in West Plains, MO. This role involves applying basic engineering principles to support manufacturing operations, including design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation. The position will also involve implementing lean manufacturing tools, performing time studies, and developing manufacturing flow and capacity plans. Responsibilities are limited in scope, and the engineer will follow standard practices and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering field and 0+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education/training and experience
• Specialties may include manufacturing, production, industrial, welding, tooling, testing, processing, software, and robotics

Responsibilities

• Apply basic engineering principles to perform routine design, fabrication, modification and/or evaluation in support of manufacturing operations
• Prepare plans, conduct support studies, provide analysis or tests in the development of manufacturing operations
• Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
• Implement lean manufacturing tools on the production floor
• Perform time studies, calculate tact time vs cycle time, and develop basic manufacturing flow and capacity plans
