About The Position

This role is for an Industrial Engineer with a background in manufacturing project management or supply chain project management, specifically excluding IT or digital project management. The engineer will lead and support projects focused on capacity, productivity, and supplier changes within North American facilities (Mexico, USA, Canada). This includes managing projects related to part qualification, capacity growth, and new tooling implementation, with a focus on improving safety, quality, productivity, and service across various manufacturing categories such as Stamping, Sheet Metal, Bus bar, Plastic, and Die Casting. The role requires interaction with internal clients and external suppliers, documentation of activities in specified platforms, and providing weekly status updates. The position involves working on projects across multiple plants in North America and Mexico, requiring strong knowledge of Quality Value Engineering (QVE) or similar improvement processes.

Requirements

  • Industrial Engineering background.
  • Experience in manufacturing setting as a Project Manager.
  • Experience deciding on matters such as change in materials used or line design change.
  • Bilingual in Spanish & English.
  • Experience managing multiple plants and sites.
  • Strong knowledge of PM processes in manufacturing and industrial engineering across multiple sites.
  • Knowledge of Quality Value Engineering (QVE) process or similar is needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support outsourcing, supplier change, and QVE projects within the Long Term Supply Chain Plan (LTSCP) to free up capacity and improve productivity in NAM regional facilities.
  • Lead projects focused on part qualification, capacity growth, and new tooling implementation, identifying improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and service for categories like Stamping, Sheet Metal, Bus bar, Plastic, & Die Casting.
  • Attend supplier visits and client facilities as needed during project execution.
  • Interact with various internal client groups and external suppliers to progress projects to closure.
  • Upload all activity-related information into specified platforms (JIRA, i-Project, i-Save, etc.) based on program requirements.
  • Provide weekly A3 status updates and leadership reviews, including project status at PN level, scope, and timeline.
  • Update project status in JIRA and BOC stage gate meetings.
  • Manage multiple plants and sites, utilizing Quality Value Engineering (QVE) or similar processes for improvements and oversight of plant processes.
  • Document and manage changes in plant setup and processes.
