About The Position

We are currently seeking an Industrial Engineer to play a key role in the setup of FTAI’s aeroderivative engine program. You will be part of the POWER program implementation team, responsible for production readiness, from shop floor layout design and flow efficiency calculations to strategic layout modifications sequencing to ensure a smooth and efficient program ramp-up. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, or a related engineering discipline from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in industrial engineering, or closely related roles within aerospace, MRO, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with layout design (AutoCAD), material flow, time studies/standard work, and line balancing in a shop-floor environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and sustain influential relationships with multifunctional teams within an operational environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methods; ability to use data/KPIs to prioritize and validate improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, PMP) is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Own the production area layout design, workstation definition, and material flow to enable safe and efficient execution in an MRO environment.
  • Establish and maintain throughput/capacity plans (labor, cycle time/takt assumptions) and partner with Planning/Operations on line balancing, staffing, and bottleneck removal.
  • Lead tooling alignment and readiness (tooling needs, point-of-use strategy, and coordination to ensure availability).
  • Drive continuous improvement (Lean/Kaizen) and track performance using KPIs (e.g., throughput, WIP, OEE, cycle time), improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and leadership to ensure alignment and successful implementation.
