  • Excellent communication/negotiation skills to work in a positive, cooperative way and maintain productive relationships with key functional areas (for Level III).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage several large and complex projects simultaneously (for Level III).
  • Must have experience with past project financial responsibilities (for Level III).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others through support, training, etc. (for Level III).
  • Must be able to manage staff toward departmental goals (for Level III).

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated ability to thoroughly research, recommend, and oversee implementation of new materials, processes, etc. and present information (for Level III).

Responsibilities

  • Using engineering and continuous improvement techniques, establishes optimum manufacturing cell configuration (creation of most efficient manufacturing cell from material inflow, through production, to outflow). Determines product flow by evaluating resource requirements, material flow, equipment rates, and ergonomic considerations. Establishes most efficient machine rates by determining most efficient, ergonomically correct means of establishing optimum manufacturing cell configuration.
  • Leads process of systemization and standardization of product routings, process descriptions, material flow/usage and throughput rates within the vision of Lean Manufacturing. Maintains manufacturing database to track and ensure accurate process descriptions, routings, and throughput rates and raw material usage documentation.
  • Provides input for facility planning, plant layouts, and performs capacity studies to determine if plants are capable of filling customer orders in accordance with five-year business plan. Develops detailed plans and layouts so that manufacturing operations can maximize process efficiencies and minimize space costs.
  • Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives. Monitors and controls objectives and costs of assigned project and establishes program time lines. May provide work direction and/or supervision to other staff.

Benefits

  • Engaging and dynamic environment
  • Support and resources to succeed
