About The Position

The Industrial Engineer is a key role in our global distribution operations by collaborating closely with leadership and teams to enhance supply chain performance and productivity. The role is instrumental in designing and implementing standard lean operating procedures across the extensive network, including last mile delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent working experience
  • 5 - 7 years of relative working experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Applications
  • Effective at Facility Design software (AutoCAD or comparable)
  • Knowledgeable in Facility Design standards
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server and/or Python.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate new and existing operational layouts and propose racking alternatives that support facility stocking plans and optimize units per square foot
  • Evaluate current operational processes and develop dynamic labor standards that normalize UPH performance against the different building setups.
  • Lead the development and delivery of training to support the rollout and continuous optimization of these standards.
  • Perform frequent audits of standard operating procedures to ensure accuracy and appropriate best practices captured.
  • Perform root cause analysis of performance and process variations across sites.
  • Provide performance bridge
  • Propose operational process alternatives with appropriate cost/benefit analysis
  • Perform time and motion studies to validate proposed changes against operational key performance indicators
  • Collaborate across multiple internal departments to scale and implement continuous improvement ideas
  • Support Labor Incentive Programs by analyzing data to support calibration and adjustments to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and incentive (pay-for-performance) targets.
