About The Position

Nellis Auction is redefining the auction and re-commerce industry — and we're growing fast, with locations across Nevada, Arizona, and Texas, and new sites opening soon. Our mission is to perfect the auction experience through innovation and trust, and we're looking for people who thrive on solving real problems and want to shape what comes next. We're seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our Operations team and help drive the efficiency, safety, and scalability of our facilities nationwide. This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to see their work translate directly into better warehouses, smarter systems, and a stronger customer experience. You'll partner closely with Operations leadership, evaluate new automation and technology, and play a key role in designing and launching new facilities as Nellis Auction continues to expand. If you're an engineer who loves getting hands-on with real operational challenges — not just theoretical ones — and you want a seat at the table as we open new locations and scale our business, this role was built for you.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field strongly preferred
  • Experience with automation and industrial equipment (racking, forklifts, conveyors, robotics)
  • Experience with operations and distribution planning
  • Proficiency in CAD and the MS Office Suite; advanced Excel skills, plus MS Access and/or Visio preferred
  • Ability to travel frequently, up to 50% at times
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • Strong critical thinking, active listening, and sound decision-making skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Solid understanding of operations, warehousing, and logistics
  • Comfort with a physically active, hands-on role

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and improve operations by assessing existing processes and systems, conducting time and motion studies, process flow analysis, and value stream mapping to identify efficiency gains and cost savings
  • Champion safety and ergonomics by researching best practices relevant to our facilities and bringing clear recommendations to Management
  • Plan and optimize the workforce by developing staffing models based on labor requirements, skill sets, and capacity planning
  • Turn data into decisions by collecting and analyzing operational metrics — production rates, cycle times, resource utilization — using statistical tools to generate insights for business leaders
  • Drive cost savings through cost-benefit analyses and financial evaluations, developing strategies that reduce costs while maintaining or improving quality
  • Lead cross-functional projects, coordinating timelines, resources, and deliverables to implement process improvements and support the launch of new Nellis Auction locations
  • Design facility layouts for equipment, materials, and workspace to maximize efficiency across warehouse and order fulfillment operations
  • Shape new facility launches by working directly with launch teams to optimize operational design from day one
  • Support capital planning by helping develop capital improvement projects and budgets, including ROI calculations
  • Provide technical support to Maintenance, Operations, and IT teams during downtime events or technical deployments
  • Guide expansion planning by partnering with Senior Operations Leadership to understand the operational impact of future growth
  • Vet employee-driven improvement ideas from across our warehouse locations, establishing clear paths to pilot or deploy the best ones

Benefits

  • Competitive salary with significant career growth opportunities
  • Paid Time Off, Sick Pay, and Holiday Pay
  • Paid parental leave
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • 401(k) with 4% match after one year of employment
