About The Position

Develops manufacturing techniques and processes for new and existing products and systems to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in Classical Engineering within a sewing factory.
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering is required.
  • Must have worked at least ten (10) years in a piece-rate factory environment, with a multitude of styles and garments; i.e., pants, coats, jackets.
  • Read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Able to work in a noisy manufacturing environment; withstand heavy traffic, floor vibrations.
  • Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs work flows and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Directs engineering activities to cost new products, modify existing cost, improve production techniques, and develop work methods and procedures.
  • Establishes SAM’s for production operations by conducting time studies and performing analysis/testing and verification of time studies.
  • Confers with management, production and quality staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and management needs for engineering improvements.
  • Conducts studies relating to plant production, loading and capacity, equipment, and labor Requirements, work layout, and workflows.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
