Summer Intern - Industrial Engineer
About The Position
Boise Cascade is offering an engineering internship for the summer of 2027 in its Western Oregon Region, based in Medford, Oregon. The internship is intended for junior or senior students studying Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering. Interns will work on company-assigned project(s) to gain knowledge and hands-on experience in the wood manufacturing industry. The work focuses on process improvement at a manufacturing plant, such as increasing throughput, decreasing downtime, and/or improving quality and yield. The internship lasts three months during the summer. Boise Cascade manufactures wood products and distributes building materials. The company describes itself as one of North America’s largest manufacturers of plywood and engineered wood products and the only wholesale stocking distributor for building products able to service the entire United States.
Requirements
- Be a junior or senior student.
- Be studying Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Work on company-assigned project(s) at a manufacturing plant.
- Contribute to process improvement, including increasing throughput, decreasing downtime, and/or improving quality or yield.
- Gain knowledge and hands-on experience in the wood manufacturing industry.
