About The Position

The Industrial Engineer I analyzes, develops, designs, and implements solutions to improve productivity, labor utilization, storage capacity, material flow, ergonomics, quality, safety, and operational efficiency across Parts Distribution Center operations. The position applies industrial engineering and Lean methodologies such as manpower analysis, takt-time and cycle-time studies, process standardization, layout optimization, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement. It also supports safe EV and HEV battery handling and storage, and the design of purpose-built material-handling tools and storage solutions. The engineer supports projects from problem identification and concept development through design, implementation, validation, and post-implementation review. The role conducts operational and workforce analyses; develops warehouse layouts, storage concepts, and material-flow solutions; supports battery-handling safety processes; and designs and validates ergonomic tools and equipment. It leads or contributes to Lean and Kaizen initiatives, equipment and solution development, and project management. The position also analyzes operational data, prepares reports and documentation, and provides weekly and monthly reporting on productivity, manpower, labor utilization, project status, standards, improvements, safety, and waste reduction. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility at the manager’s discretion and approval. Occasional overnight travel by land and/or air is required, up to 30%. The position is non-exempt and hourly.
