Industrial Engineer I
About The Position
The Industrial Engineer I will be responsible for analyzing and designing operational sequences and workflows to enhance production efficiency and resource utilization. This role involves developing and optimizing manufacturing line layouts, conducting capacity and throughput analyses, and performing cost control studies. The engineer will also support Lean Manufacturing initiatives, develop production record systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement. Additionally, the position involves assisting with facility planning, safety practices, and ensuring compliance with company standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering
- 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering (internships/co-ops acceptable)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
- Manufacturing line layout design (AutoCAD)
- Capacity, throughput, and bottleneck analysis
- Lean Manufacturing and waste elimination
- AutoCAD or similar layout/design software
- Data analysis and process optimization
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Production planning and workflow analysis
- Microsoft Excel or equivalent tools for data analysis
Responsibilities
- Analyze and design sequences of operations and workflow to improve production efficiency and resource utilization
- Develop and optimize manufacturing line layouts using tools such as AutoCAD
- Conduct capacity analysis, throughput evaluation, and bottleneck identification to improve production performance
- Perform cost control, cost reduction, and inventory control studies
- Develop and implement process improvements and operational changes based on data analysis
- Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and waste elimination projects
- Assist in developing production record systems and performance tracking metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing operations and continuous improvement efforts
- Assist Facilities Engineering in planning and design of production areas and layouts
- Support implementation of safety practices and may assist in training personnel on production processes
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality systems, and regulatory standards
- Other duties may be assigned.
