About The Position

The Industrial Engineer I will support manufacturing and industrial engineering activities. This role involves conducting time studies, process mapping, data analysis, and assisting with Lean initiatives. Additionally, the engineer will provide daily support to production teams, develop work instructions, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and 0-4 years of experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline
  • 0–4 years of experience (internships acceptable)
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and Lean principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Excel and data analysis
  • Basic proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent
  • Ability to create and modify 2D layouts and simple 3D models to support manufacturing and industrial engineering activities
  • Assists with development of: Basic facility or floor layouts, Simple tooling or fixture concepts, Process flow diagrams and equipment placement drawings
  • Any other job duties as assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to aerospace manufacturing
  • Familiarity with machining or composite processes
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems

Responsibilities

  • Conduct time studies and work measurements to establish labor standards.
  • Assist with process mapping and workflow analysis across manufacturing operations.
  • Collect and analyze production data including cycle time, scrap, throughput, and rework.
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in production processes.
  • Support line balancing and workstation layout improvements.
  • Assist with Lean initiatives, 5S implementation, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide daily engineering support to production teams.
  • Assist with tooling, fixtures, and process documentation.
  • Support process troubleshooting for machining, composites, finishing, and testing operations.
  • Assist with process validation and first article builds.
  • Coordinate with quality engineering to resolve production defects and nonconformances.
