About The Position

South Louisiana Community College is seeking an Industrial Electronics Instructor to join the STEM department within Academic & Student Affairs. This is an unclassified, 9-month faculty appointment. The instructor will be responsible for teaching, student evaluation, institutional and community service, and professional development. The role requires a commitment to predictable and reliable attendance to ensure consistency in educational and business services.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of directly-related occupational experience and skill in the field to be taught OR Associate’s degree and 4 years of occupational experience and skill in the field to be taught
• Demonstrated expertise in the subject area
• Clear and timely written and oral communication
• Familiar with technology such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
• Passing pre-employment criminal background screen is required as a condition of employment.

• Experience teaching Industrial Electronics courses at the Community College level.
