About The Position

The Industrial Electronics Electrician will perform periodic inspections of electrical systems and production support equipment for maintenance requirements. This role involves making special investigations to prevent breakdowns, operational failure, or non-conformance with specifications. The electrician will determine the sequence and methods for repairing, assembling, installing, and testing various systems and support equipment, and will determine material requirements and prepare fabrication and processing requests. Maintenance work includes repair, calibration, modification, or fabrication of various production/manufacturing equipment. The role may involve conducting tests to resolve minor design problems, performing chemical makeup and mixing for cleaning procedures, and scheduled preventive maintenance. Assistance may be provided to personnel in lower-related job classifications, and incidental related duties will be performed as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • At least five years of journey-level experience as an electrician in a manufacturing or industrial setting (not residential or commercial).
  • Strong background in production and facilities equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Demonstrated ability to determine appropriate methods for installing, adjusting and maintaining advanced industrial systems, electronic controls (including programming of PLC’s, variable frequency drives, human machine interface, control loops, energy management systems, interlocks, numerically controlled machines, electron beam welders and other equipment of similar complexity), factory machinery and equipment.
  • Proficiency in the use of electronic and electrical measuring instruments and other relevant tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work from blueprints, schematics, circuit diagrams, and verbal or written instructions.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (e.g. Green Card holder), or a protected individual as defined by the International Traffic in Arm Regulations (ITAR).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing electrical and electronic circuits.
  • Familiarity with lasers.
