How You Will Make Contributions That Matter… Performs a variety of electrical functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. Installs or repairs any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment. Works from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications. Locates and diagnoses, repair of electrical system or equipment, sensors, transmitters, field devices, VFD’s, control devices and components. Install and maintain data, Ethernet and internet, CAT5 or equivalent cabling and components. Works standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment. Uses a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments. Troubleshoots and evaluates electrical systems. Ability to program and trouble shoot of HMI’s, PLC’s, SERVO devices, robotic automation and control systems. Demonstrate equipment functions and features to equipment operators. Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery. Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment. Perform new system installations, replacements, new control technology upgrades. Respond to production needs as they occur on the production floor. Participates in the preventive and predictive maintenance programs for any plant electrical, electronic and instrument equipment or control system. Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). Comply with OSHA federal, state and local safety regulations. Work together with co-workers and other department personnel. Follow SQF and Company GMP and 5S guidelines to produce a safe and quality product. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years related experience in an industrial environment.
  • Expert knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) and OSHA Electrical General Requirements.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task.
  • Must have the ability to install conduit as directed and to the National Electric Code requirements.
  • Strong electrical background in addition to mechanical skills.
  • Willing to work any shift, including overtime and weekends as necessary.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated work history.
  • Must be able to meet physical demands for the position, including but not limited to: frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers, handle, feel, type; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl; visual acuity; talk or hear and taste or smell in a wet, cold and/or humid environment.
  • The employee must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with computerized or automated controls and ability to read electric schematics a plus.
  • Self-motivated detail–oriented and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits

  • Starting pay $27.91 - $36.24 per hour, depending on skills and experience
