Position Summary The Industrial Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role supports safe and efficient plant operations through preventive maintenance, equipment upgrades, and rapid response to production issues.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience; high-speed manufacturing or packaging experience preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and motor controls
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and ladder logic
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Associate degree, diploma, or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Electricity, or a related field

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley automation systems
  • Knowledge of industrial communication networks such as Profibus or Profinet
  • Experience with instrumentation, including pressure, level, and temperature devices
  • Licensed Electrician (Journeyman or Master)
  • OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, or related certifications
  • Apprenticeship training or equivalent hands-on experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, including motors, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, encoders, and control systems
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues on high-speed manufacturing equipment
  • Work with 380VAC and 24VDC systems, including VFDs, servo drives, and electro-mechanical controls
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability
  • Follow OSHA, NEC, and company safety standards
  • Adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety requirements
  • Participate in arc flash assessments and safety initiatives
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Partner with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to minimize downtime
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and startup activities
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and reliability
  • Assist in managing electrical spare parts inventory
