Position Summary The Industrial Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role supports safe and efficient plant operations through preventive maintenance, equipment upgrades, and rapid response to production issues.
Requirements
- 3+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience; high-speed manufacturing or packaging experience preferred
- Experience troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and motor controls
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and ladder logic
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Associate degree, diploma, or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Electricity, or a related field
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley automation systems
- Knowledge of industrial communication networks such as Profibus or Profinet
- Experience with instrumentation, including pressure, level, and temperature devices
- Licensed Electrician (Journeyman or Master)
- OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, or related certifications
- Apprenticeship training or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, including motors, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, encoders, and control systems
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues on high-speed manufacturing equipment
- Work with 380VAC and 24VDC systems, including VFDs, servo drives, and electro-mechanical controls
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability
- Follow OSHA, NEC, and company safety standards
- Adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety requirements
- Participate in arc flash assessments and safety initiatives
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Partner with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to minimize downtime
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, and startup activities
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and reliability
- Assist in managing electrical spare parts inventory
