About The Position

Poly-West, a division of Poly-America, L.P., is expanding its Henderson-area location and is hiring an Industrial Electrician for its manufacturing maintenance team. The role involves maintaining, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying new and existing industrial equipment, as well as recommending and carrying out maintenance procedures. The position may be assigned additional responsibilities and opportunities by management. Applicants from New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and California are not being accepted.

Requirements

Experience performing troubleshooting functions in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
Ability to adjust to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks.
Desire to expand knowledge and grow with the company.
Ability to work either a night shift or a day shift.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of industrial maintenance experience with PLCs is preferred.

Responsibilities

Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, power tools, and safety lock-out devices.
Examine the form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
Adjust functioning parts of devices and control instruments.
Use ladder logic and process instrumentation diagrams to diagnose communications issues.
Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
Maintain, repair, install, and test motors, drives, PLCs, relays, heaters, and other electrical components.
Recommend and execute maintenance procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
