About The Position

This position will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical equipment at our Champaign, IL facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting and fixing industrial electrical systems. This role requires excellent communication skills and attention to detail. The starting hourly wage for this role is $37.26 with a shift premium of $.75/hr on 2nd shift & $1.00/hr on 3rd shift. 2nd shift: 3p-11p 3rd shift: 11p-7a. There is also an Hourly Bonus Program.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in industrial electrician trade.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledgeable in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multitask.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and move around the plant.
• Able to work overtime when necessary.

Nice To Haves

• Associates degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on all electrical systems including motors, generators, switches, lights, etc.
• Assist other departments by providing technical assistance to solve complex problems.
• Work closely with others to complete daily tasks.
• Ensure safe working conditions by complying with safety regulations and wearing proper protective gear.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Troubleshoot and fix electrical issues promptly.
• Monitor and adjust voltage levels as needed.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely.
