About The Position

This Industrial Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving electrical and control systems that support manufacturing operations. This role helps ensure safe, reliable, and efficient equipment performance while supporting production, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. The shift for this position is the 2nd Shift, from 4 PM to 12 AM.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous electrical maintenance, industrial electrician, or related technical experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and control systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
  • Arc Flash Awareness
  • PPE requirements
  • Confined Space, Hot Work, and Fall Protection practices
  • Safe use of lifting and material handling equipment
  • Electrical troubleshooting and repair
  • Reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical systems and controls
  • Understanding of PLCs, drives, motors, sensors, and automation components
  • Basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Experience using tools such as Digital Multimeters (DMMs), Megohmmeters, Calibrators and testing equipment, Network cable testing tools
  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Electrical calculations
  • Unit conversions
  • Understanding of voltage, current, resistance, and power relationships
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

  • Manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience
  • Technical school, apprenticeship, military, or vocational training in electrical systems
  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, robotics, automation, or industrial control systems
  • Electrical certifications or related technical credentials

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repair, and installation activities on a variety of manufacturing equipment and systems, including motors and motor controls, electrical distribution systems, MCCs, drives, inverters, converters, and reactors, PLCs and industrial control systems, robotics and automation equipment, and facility electrical systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, control, and process-related equipment issues affecting safety, quality, or production. Identify root causes of equipment failures, read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, and perform testing and verification of repairs.
  • Support and execute maintenance activities designed to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime. Complete preventive maintenance inspections and tasks, repair or replace components based on equipment condition, and assist with maintenance planning and documentation updates.
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and reliability initiatives. Typical work may include motor and drive replacement, control system upgrades, PLC hardware installation, equipment modifications, and process improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams, share knowledge, and assist in developing less experienced team members. Participate in training and skill development opportunities and support a culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
