About The Position

Cleveland-Cliffs has immediate openings for Industrial Electricians at our Tilden Mine operations located in Ishpeming, Michigan. Industrial Electricians are responsible for inspecting, repairing, installing and wiring all electrical apparatuses, devices, and circuits in the plant or mining areas. Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America. The Company is vertically integrated from mined raw materials, direct reduced iron, and ferrous scrap to primary steelmaking and downstream finishing, stamping, tooling, and tubing. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or other related field or at least 2 years of directly related full-time work experience is required
  • Have the ability to read, understand and follow safety information, operating instructions and procedure manuals
  • Work safely and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Must be willing to work rotating shifts including, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be willing to work overtime

Nice To Haves

  • Preference for candidates with working knowledge in electrical maintenance in an industrial or mining environment.

Responsibilities

  • Preventive & reactive maintenance
  • Troubleshooting and repair of motors, transformers, circuits and electronic equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
