About The Position

The Industrial Electrician safely installs, troubleshoots, maintains, tests, and repairs electrical, electronic, and programmable logic controller (PLC) equipment throughout a manufacturing plant. The role also performs corrective and preventative maintenance to keep operations running reliably.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of experience in industrial or electrical maintenance.
• Experience working in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) power and control circuits.
• Knowledge of three-phase power circuits.
• Knowledge of variable frequency drives (VFDs), which control the speed of electric motors.
• Experience with and understanding of proportional-integral-derivative (PID) process control loops and associated equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to grasp complex concepts easily.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Outstanding attendance record.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and self-motivated with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform all electrical tasks safely.
• Install electrical, electronic, and PLC equipment throughout the plant.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and PLC equipment.
• Test and repair electrical, electronic, and PLC equipment.
• Perform corrective maintenance to resolve equipment issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
