Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Journeyman Electrician Card
  • PLC experience
  • Industrial electrical or manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Ability to work any shift
  • Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, sketches, charts, and diagrams
  • Install, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, dismantle, and replace electrical systems and equipment
  • Work with electrical fixtures, lighting systems, meters, motors, and industrial equipment
  • Troubleshoot and maintain PLC and programmable control systems
  • Work with solid-state electronic control systems, pneumatic systems, and pyrometric equipment
  • Perform electrical maintenance on plant substations and other industrial electrical systems
  • Complete preventive maintenance inspections and accurately document maintenance activities
  • Update and transfer maintenance information to electrical blueprints and documentation
  • Diagnose electrical problems and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability
  • Work safely throughout all areas of the manufacturing facility, including the roof, boiler house, attic, and other plant areas
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a strong commitment to a zero-injury workplace
