About The Position

Boar's Head Provisions Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join their Facility Maintenance team on the 3rd Shift. This role involves diagnosing, modifying, repairing, and installing various industrial electrical systems with limited supervision. The electrician will utilize manuals, prints, and technical support to troubleshoot and repair plant electrical systems, including motor controls, PLC’s/HMI’s, P&ID and related instrument controls, electrical drives, lighting and heating systems, control panels, conduits, power distribution systems, alarm/monitoring systems, and industrial weighing systems. The position also includes performing all electrical Preventative Maintenance (PMs) and ensuring correct and timely wiring of common industry wiring schemes.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum 5 years industrial electricity experience
• Computer proficient, able to use various CMMS systems to complete daily tasks
• Knowledge of single phase and 3 phase AC circuits
• Knowledge of industrial controls (low voltage, photo-electric, proximity sensors, etc.)
• Ability to diagnose equipment problems with and without electrical schematics
• Full familiarity with electrical test equipment
• Working knowledge of mechanical and utility systems
• Strong knowledge of PLC / HMI operation, program diagnostics and programming
• Ability to diagnose and repair power distribution equipment and production equipment power and control circuits and related components
• Attend equipment vendor training as needed.
