About The Position

Nordic Ware is seeking an Industrial Electrician for a hands-on role offering variety, stability, and work-life balance. This position is crucial for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving electrical systems and production equipment in their Saint Louis Park facilities. The role involves partnering with Maintenance and Production teams to ensure safe and efficient operations, without requiring long-distance travel or mandatory overtime.

Requirements

  • Valid Minnesota Class A Journeyman Electrician License required.
  • 5-7+ years of electrical experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including switchboards, control panels, motors, wiring, circuit breakers, and controls.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, comfortable communicating and working effectively with others.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Valid Minnesota Class A Master Electrician License or actively working toward obtaining your Master License (for Master-level qualifications).

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5+ years in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited vocational institution preferred.
  • Experience with high voltage up to 13.8kV is a plus.
  • Experience with PLCs, switchgear, infrared surveys.
  • Knowledge of UL Listing/Certification.
  • Experience leading electrical projects and training or mentoring other electricians is preferred (for Master-level qualifications).

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems and production equipment, including control panels, switchboards, junction boxes, conduit, motors, controls, circuit breakers, and lighting systems.
  • Diagnose electrical issues using wiring diagrams and safely complete repairs and installations in accordance with current electrical codes and industry best practices.
  • Test electrical circuits, components, switches, controls, and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Work with PLCs, switchgear, infrared surveys, and other electrical systems.
  • Support facility and production equipment improvements, troubleshooting, and projects to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Work with Maintenance, Production, outside vendors, contractors, and inspectors as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment while following all plant safety policies and regulations.
  • Obtain permits and ensure new electrical installations meet current NEC requirements (Master Electrician Responsibility).
  • Schedule and maintain Arc Flash and infrared surveys (Master Electrician Responsibility).
  • Lead electrical projects and coordinate with contractors and vendors (Master Electrician Responsibility).
  • Assist with training and mentoring other electricians (Master Electrician Responsibility).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
