About The Position

Pregis is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to support its packaging equipment and manufacturing operations. In this role, the electrician will troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and commission advanced packaging equipment, ensuring maximum equipment uptime and customer satisfaction. This position is ideal for candidates with electrical maintenance, industrial manufacturing, automation, or field service experience who enjoy solving technical problems, working independently, and supporting production operations in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Experience repairing industrial electrical and electronic systems
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Experience with PLCs, automation systems, and industrial controls
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, industrial manufacturing, field service, or a related technical role

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree in Electrical Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered
  • Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems and automation equipment preferred
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Exor, or similar control systems is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems on Pregis packaging equipment.
  • Diagnose issues with motors, sensors, drives, PLCs, HMIs, and control systems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, computer networks, and peripheral equipment.
  • Utilize electrical testing equipment, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to identify root causes and implement solutions.
  • Perform repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
  • Assist with equipment installation, startup, commissioning, and validation.
  • Provide technical support to production teams and customers.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to the technical support team when necessary.
  • Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly and professionally.
  • Complete service reports, escalation reports, time sheets, and maintenance documentation accurately and on time.
  • Maintain parts inventories and assist with emergency parts ordering when needed.
  • Deliver excellent customer service through timely problem resolution and effective communication.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support reliability, productivity, and equipment performance goals.
