About The Position

This role is for an Industrial Electrician in Baltimore. The primary focus is on ensuring safe and efficient electrical operations within a manufacturing plant. The position involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical components, motors, control systems, and instrumentation, including PLC controls. The electrician will work with wiring schematics, operate electrical test equipment, and adhere to industry codes and safety standards like NEC and NFPA-70E.

Requirements

Possess the desired technical skills to safely and proficiently work as an electrician in a plant setting.
Possess basic mechanical maintenance skills.
Ability to interpret and perform tasks as detailed on printed work orders.
Basic computer skills needed to complete safety training and review work-related e-mail.
Ability to operate equipment as needed, including forklifts.
Familiarity with common hand tools and how to properly use them.
Good collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Work safely by adhering to plant accident prevention policies and maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Install, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot electrical components within the manufacturing plant.
Maintain, test, and repair AC/DC motors and motor control systems.
Develop skills to troubleshoot advanced control systems and instrumentation equipment, including PLC controls.
Interpret and use wiring schematics.
Operate electrical test equipment.
Know and understand NEC codes, become trained in NFPA-70E, and practice all other electrician duties in a manufacturing environment.
