About The Position

The Industrial Electrician plays a key role in maintaining and optimizing electrical systems within high-speed production lines. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operations with minimal downtime. The role also contributes to equipment upgrades and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience (high-speed manufacturing or packaging preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and servo systems (Siemens or Allen-Bradley preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with motor controls, drives, and sensors
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic
  • Working knowledge of instrumentation (pressure, level, temperature)
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving ability
  • Team-focused and collaborative
  • Clear communication and documentation skills
  • Diploma or associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electricity, or a related field

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with industrial communication networks such as Profibus or Profinet is a plus
  • Licensed Electrician (Journeyman or Master)
  • OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, or similar certifications
  • Apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on training preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair electrical systems, including motors, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, encoders, and control systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in high-speed manufacturing equipment
  • Work with 380VAC and 24VDC systems, including VFDs, servo drives, and electro-mechanical controls
  • Follow OSHA, NEC, and company safety standards
  • Perform arc flash assessments and adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records
  • Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
  • Assist with installation and startup of new equipment
  • Help manage electrical spare parts inventory
