About The Position

The Industrial Electrician will install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical/electronic systems and controls. This role involves performing routine inspections to ensure equipment operates within specifications, troubleshooting various electrical systems including AC/DC motor controls, PLCs, electrical drives, and high-voltage systems. The electrician will also maintain shop machinery, mobile equipment, PLC networks, and cranes, and service electrical components of pumps, motors, cranes, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Additionally, the position requires installing and maintaining electronically controlled equipment, balancing loads, wiring complex circuits, utilizing diagnostic equipment, maintaining records, and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints. Technical support to maintenance and production teams is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of electrical entrance exam
  • 3–5 years of heavy industrial electrical maintenance experience
  • Strong understanding of shop mathematics, technical drawings, and precision measuring tools
  • Intermediate knowledge of AC/DC motor theory & troubleshooting with PLCs
  • Intermediate knowledge of Drives, electrical controls, and NFPA 70E
  • Intermediate knowledge of High-voltage power systems (≤ 480V)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Electrical schematics and motor theory
  • Proficient with common electrical maintenance tools

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical/electronic systems and controls.

  • Install and maintain electronically controlled equipment, including loop controls, distribution centers, programmable sequences, and control panels.
  • Balance loads and wire complex circuits.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment such as digital voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing tools.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
  • Interpret electrical schematics and blueprints at an intermediate level.
  • Provide technical support to maintenance and production teams as needed.
