Job Summary: Under the direction of the Plant Engineering Manager, is responsible for supporting installation, maintenance, and operation of all control devices and electronic accessories, working with production, maintenance personnel, and vendors. Work with computers, programmable logic controllers, electronic control devices, camera inspection systems, and miscellaneous peripherals that support production.

Requirements

  • Prefer degree in an electrical related field or must have at least three years of industrial experience with PLCs, HMIs and control systems, or have equivalent technical education.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Must have a solid understanding and ability to troubleshoot electrical components and control systems.
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot using PLC programs.
  • Have a working knowledge of PLC software (RS Logix-500 and RS Logix 5000 preferred)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of measuring devices multimeters, calipers…
  • Ability to work at heights following all safety procedures.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues in a timely manner with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail.
  • Proven problem-solving experience.
  • Must be team-oriented with good energy and initiative.
  • Must be comfortable using MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Shift work: Ability to work on rotating shifts including 8 or 12 hour shifts, as well as weekends.
  • Overtime or work on holidays may also be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Variable frequency drive experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain hardware for all plant PLC controllers, electronic devices, vision systems, code printers, and robotic and automated programmable equipment.
  • Working Knowledge of 480v 3-Phase systems, 240VAC, 120VAC, and 24VDC systems.
  • Perform daily safety checks on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Ability to read a variety of measuring devices, drawings, and schematics.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and assist with mechanical issues in all departments.
  • Be available for callouts in cases of emergencies and breakdowns.
  • Must be able and willing to work alternative shifts when necessary for maintenance
  • Read, follow and understand manuals and blueprints.
  • Forklift operation (training will be provided)
  • 5S/Housekeeping
  • Other duties as assigned by management
