About The Position

We are hiring an Industrial Electrician Supervisor for an underground zinc operation in rural NYS. This role involves supervising and managing the electrical team, planning and coordinating daily tasks, and maintaining inventory and material orders. The supervisor will also assist with troubleshooting and repairs for a wide range of electrical components and systems, and provide support to both underground and surface operations. A working knowledge of hoisting and crushing systems is also a part of this role.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical experience.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Experience with PLC systems and AC/DC drives.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the electrical team.
• Plan, prioritize, and coordinate daily tasks.
• Maintain inventory and schedule material orders for upcoming projects.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs for electrical components, including PLC panels, drives, motors, fans, VFDs, transformers, pumps, and generators.
• Work with various electrical systems, including 4-20 mA, 4160V, 13.8kV, AC up to 480V, 5kVA, and DC voltages.
• Read and follow electrical schematics and prints.
• Provide support to both underground and surface electrical operations as needed.
• Develop a working knowledge of hoisting and crushing systems, with the ability to troubleshoot these operations.
