About The Position

As an Industrial Electrician Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving the critical equipment and systems that power our manufacturing operations. Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam systems will help maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and ensure safe, efficient production throughout the facility.

Requirements

  • Advanced industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and repair experience with both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience working with pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, sprockets, couplings, and rotating equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, including voltage, current, resistance, relays, solenoids, circuit protection devices, and industrial controls.
  • Experience troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, and utility systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Experience utilizing precision measuring equipment and laser alignment tools.
  • Welding and fabrication experience, including MIG, TIG, Stick welding, brazing, and oxyacetylene cutting.
  • Strong knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and industrial safety practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment to the component level and perform repairs independently.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work seasonal overtime as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Experience in food manufacturing, tomato processing, or agricultural processing operations.
  • Experience maintaining steam turbines, evaporators, and gas-fired boiler systems.
  • Formal electrical training or industrial electrician certification.
  • Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Experience working with CMMS maintenance systems.
  • Knowledge of PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and overhaul production and processing equipment throughout the facility.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems down to the component level.
  • Maintain and repair pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, couplings, chains, sprockets, and other power transmission equipment.
  • Analyze equipment failures and determine root causes to improve reliability and performance.
  • Utilize technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, diagnostic equipment, and manufacturers’ documentation to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Observe equipment performance and detect potential failures through visual inspections, testing, and operational monitoring.
  • Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities on production and utility equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, and electrical systems.
  • Maintain steam valves, pressure-reducing valves, condensate systems, and other utility-related equipment.
  • Use precision measurement devices including micrometers, Vernier calipers, laser alignment tools, and other diagnostic instruments.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and electrical documentation.
  • Interview operators and team members to gather information and diagnose equipment failures.
  • Perform welding and fabrication work including MIG, TIG, Stick welding, brazing, and oxyacetylene cutting.
  • Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, welding safety, and plant safety requirements.
  • Support production goals while maintaining compliance with safety, food safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Assist with seasonal overtime and operational support as needed.
