About The Position

This position requires a high level of technical expertise in industrial electrical systems, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and adherence to safety protocols. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal operation of plant equipment and electrical systems in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in High Frequency Induction Welding.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment as an electrical technician.
  • Proficient with 480V 3-phase systems, VFDs, PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred), and industrial automation systems.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience Allen Bradley: ControlLogix Series, CompactLogix Series, MicroLogix Series.
  • Read, write & speak English in a clear and effective manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Understands all applicable plant safety rules and regulations and makes sure that all are being followed.
  • The ability to lift 25/50 pounds regularly.
  • The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
  • The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
  • The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds.
  • The ability to work in loud, hot environments/extreme weather while wearing required PPE.
  • Ability to see 20-20 when corrected.
  • Ability to identify and distinguish colors.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred but not required.
  • An electrical certification or technical degree is preferred.
  • 4 – 6 years of experience preferred.
  • Working in Industrial Electrical environment and 2 years of experience working with Induction Electrical Equipment.
  • Required Knowledge of Industrial Welding and Annealing operations.
  • Install, test, and commission induction heating equipment and control systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and control system issues in induction machinery.
  • Experience with PLC programming and HMI systems (Allen Bradley)
  • Welding or mechanical maintenance skills a plus
  • Strong understanding of power electronics, control systems, and high-frequency AC power.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a good working relationship with Operating personnel to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Analytically troubleshoot and resolve electrical malfunctions back to OEM Specifications.
  • Routinely check the performance of electrical equipment.
  • The employee is responsible for maintaining maintenance records, inspection reports, and processing Work Orders.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work area. Must follow all PPE policies and safety rules.
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
  • Attend and participate in Line-Out meetings to communicate daily activities between incoming and outgoing Maintenance shift crews.
  • Make necessary equipment repairs during the shift to maintain equipment availability for production.
  • Participate in production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers as it pertains to equipment reliability and availability.
  • Perform required Daily, Weekly, Quarterly and Annual check sheets as established by the Maintenance Department and O.E.M. suppliers.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical equipment including motors, drives, PLCs, control panels, and sensors.
  • Interpret and work from electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Diagnose electrical issues using advanced testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, megohmmeters, thermal imaging).
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to improve equipment performance.
